Let's Give Thanks: Menu & Recipes

Updated: Nov 24, 2021

Looking for Thanksgiving inspiration? Perhaps this will help. Use all or just a few of the recipes, but make sure you share the link for this blog post with your friends and family. Know that we (at My Symphony Seasonings) are so thankful for your 'shares' & support!

For starters, put together this delicious Baked Cranberry Brie Bread. Make the Cranberry relish a day or two before you need it to save time and serve with Apple Cider Mimosas.

Don't forget to put out a dish with My Symphony Seasonings' Sweet Harvest so your guests can rim their glasses then fill them with cider and sparkling wine. Serve the bread whole, but place a bread knife nearby so your guests can help themselves to a piece while it's warm.

As your hungry guests start to gather, have this soup on the ready in a slow cooker surrounded by toppings like chopped pistachios, bacon pieces, crumbled feta, oil etc.

Just place bowls, spoons and napkins next to it so your guests can serve themselves while you are finishing up in the kitchen. Another bonus is that soup is always better the next day since the ingredients have had time to marry so prepare accordingly. This soup can be made with any squash like butternut or pumpkin.

If you need help with the main attraction, the bird, read this post beforehand. https://www.mysymphonyseasonings.com/post/2017/11/09/fowl-language

Need new recipes for some sides? Try these out!

For the finale and alternatives to the standby pies for dessert try this easy but just as tasty pecan pie bar recipe. It feeds more people, is easier to make and easier to cut.

Make sure you line your baking dish with parchment for easy clean up.

This equally convenient pumpkin bread recipe can be made as a loaf or even as a sheet 'cake' when baked in a prepared 9x13 baking dish (just lower the baking time from 45 minutes to 35 minutes or when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Tips for Thanksgiving Day:

*prepare and make as many dishes as you can ahead of time

*display the starters and desserts with topping choices, dishes, utensils & napkins so guests can serve themselves when they are hungry

*provide a beverage station with a signature cocktail/mocktail, water & tea

*accept help whether it's preparing the food or cleaning...delegate

Above all keep it simple and enjoy your time with family and friends remembering to give thanks for all of the year's blessings and for their company. For this is to be My Symphony!
